On Thursday we have another Venusian aspect (earlier in the week we had Venus oppose Saturn) as Venus in Aries squares Pluto in Capricorn. This is a very intense aspect, as Venus often feels overpowered by Pluto. With Venus/Pluto aspects there seems to be a need to submit to something for the sake of relationships that we do not necessarily desire, and we can often feel resentful in the process. In addition, there is a tendency for us to feel changes that are occurring in a relationship – whether that is our partner being distanced, emotional withdrawal, or the attempt to be controlled, which could lead to problems and potential arguments. Venus being the ruler of Taurus craves stability, and under this aspect stability is the last thing that is available, so she attempts to hold onto her ideal of the relationship intensely (often in manipulative ways). This leads our partners to feel smothered and restricted. Thankfully, this transit only lasts a few days, and we all go through periods of changes in our relationships. The key is to embrace those changes whatever they are and try not to hold onto anything to tightly. If we are able to let nature take its course, then there is the potential for the relationship to emerge even more powerful than it was before, but if our emotions lead us to become insecure, worried, and fearful we may manifest our fears as reality.
