I want you to close your eyes for a moment. You are now a race car driver with a shiny new car complete with that new car smell. You sit in the seat and start your engine. Did you enjoy the weekend? All the promise of spring burrowing through snow drifts, incredibly cold temperatures, and a winter that lasted too long appeared to be fading before our eyes as warmer weather spread across most of the country. The astrological aspects were beautiful as Venus trined Mars and Mercury conjoined with Jupiter. However, on Tuesday all good things must come to an end as Venus in Aries opposes Saturn in Libra.

Venus oppose Saturn is one of the least favored aspects because of its notorious tendency to cause problems and even end relationships. Venus desires to be social, pleasured, and likes to have fun; whereas Saturn is a nose to the grindstone planet that demands discipline. We may feel conflicted between our duty to uphold our responsibilities and our need to be social and relate to others in a pleasant environment. We all want to relate to others, and feeling stymied by duty can make us feel resentful. When the energy of Venus oppose Saturn is unleashed on already existing relationships it can evoke the areas of our romantic life which may be lacking or where we feel unsatisfied. Thankfully, this aspect only lasts a day (or so)! Today it would be beneficial to avoid reacting to our emotional and romantic frustrations. We may get a bit of relief when we realize that this (like all aspects) too shall pass!

Was it the “Oscars” or “What Not to Wear?” I really couldn’t tell when I watched clips of the red carpet event this morning on Morning Joe. The dresses were drab, looked like uniforms, and the hair professionals should all be fired! The horror of epic proportions was mind blogging. In most cases you would astrologically look towards Neptune for information about fashion trends, but this fashion disaster appears to be the handiwork of our celestial beauty Goddess — Venus.

Although it’s hard to find much discussion about dignity in horoscope columns, when Venus is in Aries she is considered in detriment. In simple language, this means that Venus does not feel comfortable in this sign. In Aries, Venus tends to be more aggressive, interested in competitive activities, and craves excitement and physical satisfaction. Venus in Aries likes a challenge, and when it’s in Mars’ sign she will pursue things that are beyond her reach. In addition, Venus needs action in Aries, and it is the aforementioned list of attributions that created the hair frizzing, unkempt appearances of many at the Oscars.

On a more practical level (since most of us have no intentions of going to the Oscars anytime soon), every planetary placement offers us unique energy to use which is no different when Venus is in Aries. I embrace this powerful ‘thought-word’ many times, daily as I journey across my lifepath. … Trust. I have asked myself millions of times what does it mean to trust someone, to trust yourself? I feel enriched by the abundance of personal trust and also the trust in humanity that I have. Spirit loves us so much we were given free will and at times I come across people who choose to hold back their trust. This holding back, to me, is always based on conditioned thinking and FEAR. Although I know it is purely fear based, some people still continue to be imprisoned in their thoughts of heavy darkness, of painful mistrust. I am committed to the journey to Self and I am acquiring new “tools” everyday to strengthen my life- trek, with the power of ‘encouraging TRUST’. Picking up bits and pieces from humanity and forming conclusions based on what we learn from our family or origin, our circle of friends, and of course the media is how we form our own ‘trust-rules’. We begin to define trust based on our own preconceived ideas. How do you really trust in someone was the question of the day for me.. This is what my divine intone revealed to me:

To Really Understand Someone in Totality = TRUST.

There is absolutely no way you can form trust if you are unfamiliar with the entire being.
