Lady Gaga in her hit single “Bad Romance,” says, “I want your ugly, and I want your disease. I want your everything as long as it’s free. I want your love!” In essence, she sings about the hyper idealization in relationships, and that we often gloss over great difficulties with our need to feel connected and loved. Today, this energy is alive and well with the planet of love (Venus) in a difficult aspect to the illusionary planet Neptune. This aspect tends to place the vision of the “perfect” relationship above all else, and often we can feel quite disappointed when the reality of relationship supersedes our fantasies. It is recommended, despite the planet of loves urge to infuse our romantic life with unrealistic anticipation, to try to keep our expectations as down to earth as possible. Otherwise, we can experience several days of feeling emotionally let down by those around us, which can be amplified by the communication issues inherent in Mercury retrograde cycles. On a good note, this is a great day for artistic and spiritual pursuits. My suggestion is to put down the Danielle Steele and Jackie Collins novels, and do some meditation to discover what we would really like out of our relationships.
