8.8 Earthquake Hits Chile
Waking up this morning I had to scrap the Cosmic Weather Forecast that I wrote last night. A massive 8.8 magnitude earthquake has hit the nation of Chile. The earthquake was similar intensity to the fifth most powerful quake recorded since 1900, and is 6x the intensity of the quake that hit Haiti in January. Tsunami Warnings have been issued for most of the Pacific Rim (known as the ring of fire) including Hawaii, the birthplace of U.S. President Barack Obama.
In light of this tragedy, writing about personal concerns seems rather superficial and without compassion for those whose lives have been destroyed by this quake. I will continue the Cosmic Weather Forecast on Monday.
