Have you ever had an unrequited love? Ever experience that deep emotional attachment to another individual whom either does not return our feelings or doesn’t know we exist? Ever experience the longing and desire for something that just seems to never come through for you? Ever feel the longing for something that touched you so deep it hurt? All these questions describe the feeling of Venus conjoined with Neptune, which occurs today! In many ways, this aspect can lift us up to great mystical heights, only to bring us crashing down to the ground once we realize the object of our desires is unattainable. Although we usually experience this feeling in relation to our love lives, it is equally accessible to all other areas of our lives. We can deeply desire financial stability, the perfect job, or health and well being. Let me just say, it’s not wrong to want love, financial freedom, or the perfect job, yet it can be quite difficult if we levitate it to the realm of Godhood. A more productive use of the Venus-Neptune energy would be to ask ourselves questions about what or whom are Gods in our lives. Are we putting anything or anyone up on pedestals that will leave us disappointed whenever it does not come through for us? Today, we can be aware of all the “false gods” we create and learn to stop projecting our mystical needs on to others and become our own “inner divinity”.
